Yesterday Yan Rui came to meet me after school... We drove to Connaught Drive and parked our car there, then walked to The Arts House.
Timbre! Yan Rui and I always went to the one behind The Substation, cos it's near my school... Then he told me he'd bring me here, saying that the ambience is good (he had came here once before for his officer graduation dinner, or whatever it's called! Haha). But we never had the time to come. So this year, we decided to come here before all the school work and stress starts pouring in! In the end, we had two baskets of Timbre chicken wings! Each had a drink... And one Three Cheese Pizza!
The scenery was great...
Having satisfied our stomachs and feeling very full, we took a walk along the Singapore River... I love night strolls! :)
The next day, I had no lesson! Three day week this term ;)
We went to the Singapore Flyer for a ride! Remember the McDonald's Monopoly lucky draw last year? Yan Rui managed to get the "2-for-1" Singapore Flyer offer... So it was his treat! Heehee... Since both of us had never went there before, we decided to go and try it out.
The ride was about 30 min long. There wasn't much to see for the first half, because one side is blocked by the other half of the wheel and the other side is the unfinished Marina Bay. It was only when the wheel turned to this side of the Marina Bay that we started snapping away furiously. But I think having so many people in one capsule kind of makes it less enjoyable. After all, it's quite weird to be stuck in mid air with a group of people whom I do not know. Worse still if they are inconsiderate beings. Haha anyways, I still treasured the experience! :)
To think of it, my family always go overseas for holidays... But maybe we should get to know our own country first? It would be quite embarrassing if I can recommend places to go in a foreign land but am dumbfounded when a foreigner asks me about my homeland! Shall tour around Singapore more ;) |
